In their English-language blog post on the website of the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation, research assistant and doctoral student Julia Kling and Prof. Florian Töpfl examine the reach of the two foreign communication channels RT and Sputnik. They examined the reach of the respective websites and mobile apps in 21 countries between 2019 and 2021 - i.e. before the Russian invasion of Ukraine. One result: RT and Sputnik reached a small audience at least via their websites and mobile apps immediately before the Russian invasion.
